Expression Of Interest | IRL Match Operations Officials | Paid Role

The Illawarra Rugby League (IRL) is taking Expressions of Interest for the role of Match Operations Official (MOO) for its Senior Competitions in the 2025 season. This is a paid role with MOOs paid $60 per game.

Qualities We Are Looking For

  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals with a passion for sport and an understanding of Rugby League.
  • Approachability, adaptability to change, effective time management skills, punctuality, and a can-do attitude.
  • This role involves weekend work; therefore, applicants must be able to work either on Friday nights, Saturdays, or Sundays.

The Role

The role of a MOO across Illawarra Senior Competitions includes but is not limited to:

  • Attending game days that you are rostered to.
  • Building relationships with clubs and team managers.
  • Confirming team lists on games with team managers.
  • Compliance checks, as required for players and staff.
  • Using an iPad to input scoring NRL MySideline Manager app/s throughout the game.
  • Hard copy scoresheets and team sheets.
  • Monitoring interchange process (interchange role appointed by referees association) and Concussions.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of each match appointed to you by clearly knowing the rules and processes.
  • Completing the required reporting post-game and sending it through in the required time frames.
