In week one of the Tarsha Gale Cup Finals Series, the fourth-placed Steelers renew their battle with the fifth-placed Parramatta Eels in a sudden-death fixture at Lidcombe Oval on Saturday.
The two sides went toe-to-toe in Round Two, with the honours shared after a hard-fought 10-all draw. Coach Courtney Crawford has remained faithful, naming the outfit that lost 10-4 to the Sharks in the season’s final round.
Both teams finished the regular season with four wins, three losses and a draw with the Steelers (+80) having the superior points differential over the Eels (-12).

Women’s Premiership
The equation is simple. A win over the Wests Tigers in the final game of the regular season and the Illawarra Steelers Women’s Premiership team will be assured of a finals berth in their inaugural season.
After a disappointing heavy loss to the Newcastle Knights last week in their final game of the season on home soil Coach Alicia-Kate Hawke has made just the one change with Anji Tau coming into the front row replacing Rose Tafengatoto.
