The Illawarra Steelers have recorded their fourth consecutive win of the season, defeating the Central Coast Roosters 36-0 on Saturday in Round 5 of the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership.

Another double to winger Maria Paseka, her third brace of the season, and tries to Kaarla Cowan, Tori Shipton, Lily Rogan, and Jordyn Preston were topped off by a perfect goal-kicking display by Taylea Handcock with 6 conversions from 6 attempts.
Late inclusions in the Steelers outfit saw Dragons NRLW players Maatuleio Fotu-Moala and Madison Mulhall come into the line-up, along with Lisa Fioala Cup captain Tahlia O’Brien, making her open women’s debut, and Herewaka Pohatu.
The late changes didn’t disrupt the Steeler’s winning ways, as they piled on six unanswered tries.
It sets up a blockbuster Round 6 clash at home against the undefeated Wenty Magpies, pitting the best-attacking team against the best defensive outfit.
