Team list news for Round 5 (washout round) of the 2025 Harrigan Cup. Team List Tuesday, brought to you by Elastoplast
This week’s fixtures in the Harrigan Cup are a repeat of last week, giving Wests, Collegians, and Corrimal a second chance just seven days after losing to the same opponents in Round 10.
De La Salle v Corrimal
Ironically, the washout round presents De La Salle with the opportunity to return home for the first time since Round 4, after spending the last five weeks on the road. Despite the travel they have won two consecutive matches, including last week’s emphatic victory over the Cougars and their win against the defending premiers two weeks ago.
It will be a big day at Captain Cook Oval for the Stewart family, with local junior Will Stewart to make his Harrigan Cup debut on the wing for De La Salle. The 18-year-old is the younger brother of club stalwart Jackson Stewart, last year’s IRL best forward, who will pack down at lock.
The Cougars will admit they were off the mark last week and will look to return to the form that saw them knock over Wests and Thirroul in consecutive weeks. They have been bolstered by the return of several players from Dragons Jersey Flegg duty this week.

Collegians v Thirroul
Last week’s loss to Thirroul was Collegians first since their Round 6 loss to Wests. Collies, who are still outright competition leaders, four points clear of their nearest rival, will be out to make amends for last week’s defensive lapses.
It was a much-needed win for the Butchers to kick-start the back end of their season after three straight losses. Mitchell Francis has been named at five-eighth replacing Aaymon Fitzgibbon.

Wests v Dapto
After an opening round loss the defending premiers strung together five consecutive wins but appear to have lost their way over the last three weeks, losing three on the trot. However, they haven’t been far off the money, a 12 point margin their biggest loss, second half lapses costing them dearly.
Dapto are the competition’s big improvers this season, finding themselves in equal second and staring down a finals berth for the first time in several years. Their win last week was full of grit after trailing Wests 10-4 at halftime and fighting off a challenge in the closing stages. They will need to be on their game again this week against an experienced line-up still featuring 12 of last year’s premiership-winning squad.
