The Illawarra Steelers undefeated streak in the Harvey Norman Women’s premiership ended with the Bulldogs 26-0 victory at Jubilee Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

On a five-day turnaround and missing a host of key players who played a day earlier for the NRLW Dragons, the Steelers struggled to contain their opponents powerful running and kicking game.
The Bulldogs scored three unanswered tries in 25 minutes to lead 12-0 at halftime. And the pattern continued after the break, scoring two tries within five minutes to extend their lead to 20-0.
The Bulldogs secured their win, which could have been larger if they had not missed several conversion attempts, with a converted try in the 65th minute.
Just as they did in the first half, the Steelers had several scoring opportunities, but handling errors disrupted their momentum at crucial moments.
