Leading 12-0 at halftime, thanks to tries from Jordyn Preston and Indie Bostock, the Steelers piled on 20 unanswered points in the second half.
Preston scored her second try on the resumption of play before Mia-Rose Walsh, Hope Millard, and captain Lily Rogan crossed the stripe. Kaarla Cowan (pictured) was the Steelers’ best.
A win at home this week in the penultimate round of the regular season over the South Sydney Rabbitohs will all but secure a top-two finish for the Scarlet and Whites.
The Steelers will headline a big day of women’s rugby league at Ziem’s Park, featuring the Corrimal Cougars in the Grand Finals of the Open Women and U18’s Southern Corridor competitions.
