The Illawarra Steelers scored 8 tries to 2 in their 40-8 win over the Cronulla Sharks in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership on Sunday, with winger Zali Yeo picking up a double and counterpart Maria Paseka scoring her fifth try in three games.
Tayleah Handcock (pictured), was the Harrigan Motor Group Player Of The Match, scoring a try and landing four conversions.

Yeo had her brace before the break after scoring in the fourth and 26th minutes. The visitors piled on 32 unanswered points in the first half with tries to Paseka, Kaarla Cowan, Koffi Brookfield, and Shae Muhleisen.

The Steelers extended their lead to 40 with tries to Handcock and Herewaka Pohatu, scoring on debut, before the Sharks crossed for two consolation tries.
The second-placed Steelers are away to the Central Coast Roosters next Saturday.
