We can’t wait for Round 7 of Harrigan Cup action to return on 14 June after the break over the long weekend. In the meantime, here’s a look at some of the best work from the competition’s top try-scorers at each club.
8 – Phoenix Vetenibua-Finnerty (Wests)
The dual premiership winner is the competition’s top try scorer with eight four-pointers, including a four-try effort and a hat-trick. Can sniff out a four-pointer. Support play has been a feature of his game.

5 – Nic Hall/James Lee (Collegians)
It’s no surprise Collies started the season with four wins on the trot with the strike power of Hall and James on either side of the park.

3 – Jason Gillard (Dapto)
They probably haven’t had the start they wanted, with two wins and three losses from their opening five games. Gillard has scored four tries including a double in the opening round.

3 – Dane Courtney/Nathan Sharp (Thirroul)
Thirroul’s fullback in their grand final loss to Wests last season, Courtney (pictured), got off to a slow start but has scored a try in each of the Butcher’s previous three games.
Sharp was also a member of that losing grand final side but is a proven try scorer with six last season and three on the board from five starts this year already.

3 – Tyrell Lafituanai (De La Salle)
Scored a try in the season opener and a double last week, including the match-winner in the Shire outfit’s epic come-from-behind win over Thirroul last week.

2- Saifiti Saifiti/Zachariah Nachar (Corrimal)
The Ipswich Jets junior and Steelers SG Ball winger scored a double on debut for the Cougars in Round 1. The noted finisher crossed for 11 tries in the 2024 Mal Meninga Cup as part of a talented Jets side.
The Cougars also have plenty of strike power out wide, with Nachar on the opposite wing. His two tries include that try last week, diving over in the corner on the end of a Joe Duggan alley-oop pass.
