The Illawarra District Rugby League is the governing body of the sport in the Illawarra region, playing a major role in the Illawarra Steelers pathway programs for our elite players.
The Steelers participate in seven age-based male and female competitions from U16’s to Open Age Women.

The Illawarra Steelers are the feeder team for the St George Illawarra Dragons NRLW. The Steelers won the 2024 title in their second season.
