The Col Purcell Illawarra Rugby League Centenary Scholarship is available to current Illawarra and South Coast Junior Rugby League players (Between Helensburgh and Milton/Ulladulla) to assist in the pursuit of a tertiary education.
- To be eligible candidates must have competed in any Illawarra or South Coast Junior Rugby League competition during their HSC year, and will need to provide a copy of their registration as part of the application.
- The successful applicant must be enrolled full time in an undergraduate degree at the University of Wollongong in 2021.
The Scholarship has been named the Col Purcell Illawarra Rugby League Centenary Scholarship – in memory of a late life-member and highly respected Junior Rugby League administrator.
Last year Woonona Bulli Bushrangers’s Chelsea Aylett (pictured) became the first female to be awarded the Col Purcell Centenary Scholarship in its nine-year history.
Applications open from 14 February 2021 to 4 April 2021.
