The Steelers SG Ball, Harold Matts and Tarsha Gale Cup teams have been announced ahead of Round One of the junior representative season this weekend, although the Steelers have a first round bye.
All three teams performed well in pre-season trials against St George, Canberra and Roosters. Head coaches Glenn Buffolin (SG Ball), Aaron McDonald (SG Ball) and Alicia-Kate Hawke (Tarsha Gale) report the squads have been training hard over the off-season and are ready and raring to go after a Covid interrupted season last year.
The Tarsha Gale U18 Girls will play their first home game of the season against the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy in Round Two but we will have to wait until Round Five to see the boys at home after an away stretch against the Roosters, Raiders and Eels.
We have three triple headers scheduled at home during the season, with all three team playing at Collegians Sporting Complex:
- Rd 5 – 6 March
- Rd 6 – 13 March
- Rd 9 – 3 April
