Team List Tuesday | Round 7 | Women’s Premiership & Junior Reps

Team List Tuesday brought to you by League & Legends Shellharbour

All five grades play at Collegians Sporting Complex on Saturday; the Steelers Lisa Fioala U17s kicking off proceedings at 9am against the Penrith Panthers. In a massive day of rugby league, the Steelers take on the Bears in the other grades, with all junior rep sides in contention for a top-six finish with three rounds remaining.

The new girls on the block got their campaign off to a winning start last week with a 30-10 win over the Bulldogs. Coach Brad Reh hopes his charges can do the same this week, playing in front of a home crowd for the first time.

The Steelers Harold Matt’s side is ruing a last-minute lapse in concentration, with the Tigers stealing the win with a try in the final minute for a two-point win after the Steelers led by 10 with less than five minutes remaining. Coach Aaron McDonald has named an unchanged lineup for the Bears clash.

Illawarra’s Tarsha Gale Cup campaign returned to earth with a thud after being well-beaten by the Dogs last week. Courtney Crawford has also named an unchanged lineup.

SG Ball kept their finals chances alive, thumping the Tigers 54-4 last week, and will need to continue this form to stay in touch with the Top 6. Coach Russell Aitken has made just the two changes to the starting lineup, with Toby Rumble replacing Jacob Haeata in the centres and Seth Pearman in for Kyan Hjaltason in the 9 jersey.

Meanwhile, the Steelers HNWP campaign continues to gain momentum after securing their third win on the trot last week with their 16-10 victory over the Bulldogs, touted as premiership contenders. Coach Hawke has shifted Lily Rogan to fullback replacing Emma Tonegato and bringing Jordyn Preston into the centres. In the other change to last week’s 17, Mary Latu replaces Kezie Apps on the interchange bench. The Steelers sit atop the ladder with five rounds remaining.
