Team List Tuesday | Round 8 | NSWRL Junior Reps

Team List Tuesday brought to you by South32 Illawarra Metallurgical Coal

The Steelers Tarsha Gale and Lisa Fiaola Cup teams head to western Sydney this Saturday to play the Penrith Panthers, with both teams aiming to collect the two competition points on offer to secure their finals berth.

Brad Reh’s U17 girls are second on the ladder with a 5-1 record for the season, while the Panthers (9th) have won just two of their six outings.

The U19 girls remain undefeated through seven rounds. They will maintain the top spot on the ladder with a win over the tenth-placed Panthers.

Meanwhile, the Harold Matthews and SG Ball sides meet the Bulldogs on Sunday at Hammondville.

Jamie Szczerbanik’s U17s face a challenging task against the second-placed Bulldogs. Still, they will look to back up last week’s win over the Dragons with another strong performance.

SG Ball has dropped back to fourth on the ladder after last week’s loss to the Dragons. However, a win over the ninth-placed Bulldogs should secure a finals campaign for Shaun Timmins in his debut season as head coach.

Team News

In team news, Harold Matthews Cup Coach Jamie Szczerbanik has switched the in-form Jack Talbott from fullback to half, with Tayler Humphries the new custodian. Hayden Whatman returns to the starting lineup in the front row, trading places with Kapene Karaitiana who moves to the interchange bench. Whatman’s new front-row partner is Leeroy Weatherall, with Creighton Meafou switching back to the second row.

SG Ball Coach Shaun Timmins has made one positional change. Viliami Amone will start in the front row, trading places with Jackson Smith who moves to the interchange bench. Kade Reed partners Aaymon Fitzgibbon in the halves again after a successful return from injury last week.

In Tarsha Gale Cup selections, Ella Koster returns to the front row and pushes Rhian Yeo to the interchange bench. Chelsea Saville moves from half to hooker with Teagan Smede, the new No.7. Skipper Kasey Reh is still on the injured list.

Meanwhile, Brad Reh has switched Jayda Lalic and Armani Tanioria in the back row, the only change to last week’s winning starting lineup. Sibeal McNamara and Bridget Shearer come onto the interchange bench, replacing Kate Howle and Arley Hourn.
