Women and Girls Tackle Finals Series Schedule

The inaugural Southern Corridor Women’s Tackle Finals Series gets underway this weekend, with the top-six teams having progressed to the business end of the season.

Milton-Ulladulla and Corrimal stood out in the Open Women’s competition, having earned the week off while their Week 2 opponents battle through this week’s Elimination Finals.

Draws to Como-Jannali and Jamberoo were the only blemishes on the Bulldogs’ undefeated record. The Cougars finished in equal top spot with the Bulldogs, the only team to beat them this season, 6-4 in Round 8.

Sudden death play offs

Group 7 teams Stingrays and Warilla meet in the first Elimination semi-final on Saturday, while fellow Group 7 team Jamberoo will play the Shire-based Como-Jannali away on Sunday.

In the Under 18’s, Collegians face Stingrays at Flinders Field in the major semi-final, with the winner advancing to the Grand Final.

The loser will face the winner of the sudden death semi-final between the Cougars and Cronulla Caringbah at Ziems Park at 2.10 pm.

The Cougars and Cronulla Caringbah fought out a 10-all draw in Round 3 before Cronulla Caringbah got the upper hand 12-4 in their most recent encounter.
