Harrigan Premiership | Wests Into Decider

Wests Devils are through to the Grand Final in the Harrigan Premiership after a nail-biting 12-10 win over De La Salle on Sunday afternoon at Forshaw Oval.

The Weekend Wrap, brought to you by Hahn.

A two-point field goal by Dane Chisholm from over 40 metres in the dying stages secured the victory for the Devils, sending the Minor Premiers into a sudden-death Preliminary Final bout with Thirroul Butchers next Saturday.

Earlier, De La Salle winger Esafe Hema crossed in the corner to give the home side the lead before Wests hit back with tries to Chisholm and Colby Pellow for a 10-4 lead at the break.

A try to De La Salle prop Luke Raymond after a barnstorming run off an inside ball from Eli Levido levelled the scores midway through the second half before Chisholm’s last gasp heroics broke the deadlock.

The Butchers accounted for Collegians in their Elimination Semi-Final with a 32-18 win at Gibson Park on Saturday to keep their back-to-back title hopes alive.

Avondale Greyhounds continued their domination of the Harrigan Shield, scoring 26 unanswered points against the Figtree Crushers.
