Team Lists for Round 15 of the 2025 Harrigan Cup, brought to you by Elastoplast
We’re in for a grandstand finish in the final round of the regular season, with the standings for the Harrigan Cup top five hinging on the outcomes of Round 15 fixtures.
De La Salle v Corrimal
De La Salle has secured a top-four finish despite having an inconsistent season by their standards. Regardless of this week’s result, they will play an Elimination Final against either Thirroul or their opponents this week, Corrimal, in the first week of the Finals.
The Cougars are desperate for a win to keep their hopes of playing in the finals alive for the first time since 2009.
However, a victory does not guarantee the Cougars a playoff spot; they will be anxiously waiting for the outcome of Thirroul’s match against Collegians. If Collies, the minor premiers, wins, it will confirm a playoff place for the Cougars.
If the Cougars lose, their season is likely over since the Butchers have a far superior points differential. In their head-to-head encounters this season, De La Salle won the first game 54-20, while the Cougars turned the tables with a strong comeback the following week, winning 36-0.

Collegians v Thirroul
Collegians wrapped up the minor premiership several weeks ago but have not taken their foot off the throttle, currently on a five-match winning streak.
In contrast, the Butchers are in a tight race with the resurgent Cougars for the final spot in the top five. A victory would secure their finals berth, but even if they lose, their season could still continue due to a better for and against record than the Cougars, should that scenario arise.
Besides the defending premiers, Wests, who defeated Collegians in Round 6, Thirroul is the only other team that has beaten Collegians this season, a 38-24 victory in Round 10, which remains Collies last defeat.
Collegians bounced back with a 40-12 win a week later, marking the beginning of their current undefeated run.

Dapto v Wests
This match-up serves as a dress rehearsal for next week’s Qualifying Final, with both sides currently tied for second place, set to clash again in Week 1 of the Finals.
The Devils bounced back from their 8-0 loss to the Cougars two weeks ago with a convincing 34-6 display against De La Salle last week.
Meanwhile, Dapto put up a tough fight against competition frontrunners Collegians last week before going down 22-14, ending their three-match wining streak.
The two teams are evenly matched in their head-to-head encounters. Dapto defeated Wests 24-14 in Round 10 before Wests recorded their 22-6 victory.
