Dynamoney ISC Merged: Illawarra Clubs Target GT Grand Final Berths

Illawarra clubs remain firmly in the premiership hunt following the Dynamoney ISC Merged Competition Girls Tackle (GT) semi-finals, with Dapto earning direct passage to the Under 14s Girls Tackle Second Division grand final after upsetting minor premiers Milton-Ulladulla 20–8.

Wests produced an emphatic 38–8 elimination-final victory over Corrimal to advance to the Under 16s Premier Division preliminary final, where they will face the Stingrays.

Collegians also kept their Under 16s Second Division campaign alive with a hard-fought 22–16 win over Port Kembla, setting up an all-Illawarra preliminary final against Dapto.

While Corrimal and Port Kembla bowed out after determined campaigns, Collegians’ Under 14s Premier Division season also ended after a 28–16 loss to Albion Park Oak Flats.

With Dapto U14s already through to one decider and Wests, Collegians and Dapto U16s chasing further grand final appearances this weekend, Illawarra clubs remain strongly represented across the competition’s concluding stages.

Under 14s Girls Tackle Premier Division

In the U14s Girls Tackle Premier Division semi-finals, top-ranked Shellharbour secured a grand final berth with a convincing 12-0 win over second-placed Kiama at Ron Costello Oval.

Meanwhile, third-placed Albion Park Oak Flats delivered a 28-16 victory against fourth-placed Collegians at Croome Road Sporting Complex, setting up a preliminary final clash with Kiama.

​Kiama and Albion Park Oak Flats will face off in the preliminary final at 1:30pm on Saturday, 22 August, at Cec Glenholmes Oval Ground 1, Lake Illawarra.

Under 14s Girls Tackle Second Division

In Second Division semi-finals, second-placed Dapto stunned minor premiers Milton-Ulladulla with a 20-8 victory at Croome Road Sporting Complex, earning a spot in the preliminary final against third-placed Shellharbour.

​Shellharbour and Dapto will meet in the preliminary final at 1:00pm on Saturday, 22 August, at Cec Glenholmes Oval Ground 2, Lake Illawarra.

Under 16s Girls Tackle Premier Division

In the U16s Premier Division semi-finals, third-placed Wests eliminated fourth-placed Corrimal with a commanding 38-8 win at Noel Mulligan Oval. First-placed Gerringong punched their ticket to the grand final with an 18-8 win over the second-placed Stingrays at Ron Costello Oval, with the latter facing redemption on the weekend.

Wests and the Stingrays will meet in the preliminary final at 2:00pm on Saturday, 22 August, at Cec Glenholmes Oval Ground 1, Lake Illawarra.

Under 16s Girls Tackle Second Division

In Second Division, all four teams advanced to the finals. Third-placed Collegians edged out fourth-placed Port Kembla 22-16 in their semi-final at Noel Mulligan Oval, Warrawong.

With the win, Collegians progress to face second-placed Dapto in the preliminary final, with the victor earning a grand final showdown against first-placed St George’s Basin.

Dapto and Collegians will meet in the preliminary final at 12:30pm on Saturday, 22 August, at Cec Glenholmes Oval Ground 2, Lake Illawarra.
