Thirroul, De La Salle, and Corrimal all recorded wins in Round 2 of the Harrigan Premiership. The Butchers took the honours in their grand final rematch with Collegians, while De La Salle reminded everyone why they finished the 2023 regular season as minor premiers with a resounding win over Wests.

Corrimal defeated Dapto for the second time in as many outings with a six-point win over the Canaries on Sunday afternoon at Ziems Park.

The weekend wrap is brought to you by HAHN.

Defending premiers, Thirroul opened their 2024 Harrigan Motor Group Premiership account with a 22-12 win over Collegians in the Grand Final rematch at Gibson Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Butchers were in control for much of the first half but trailed 12-10 after a late two-try rally by the visitors.

In the second half, a double from centre Steve Marsters proved the difference as the Butchers established a 22-12 winning margin with six minutes remaining.

In the shire, De La Salle posted a 40-16 win over Wests Devils, scoring seven tries to three. Eli Levido had a day out with the boot, landing six conversions from six attempts.

It was a case of history repeating itself for Dapto at Ziems Park, with Corrimal taking the two points in a come-from-behind 16-10 victory over the Canaries after trailing 10-0 early.
