Team List Tuesday brought to you by South32 Illawarra Metallurgical Coal

Footy is back this weekend with the Steelers playing the South Sydney Rabbitohs in all four grades in Round One of the NSWRL Junior Representative competition at Collegians Sporting Complex on Saturday, 3 February.

The Lisa Fiaola U17s girls will have a target on their back in their first full season after blitzing all comers in last season’s gala day format winning all four games by a combined 156-38. Coach Brad Reh has named Tahlia O’Brien as captain.

The Tarsha Gale side will be looking to go one better this season after being knocked out in the U19 Girls semi-final 28-0 by eventual winners the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs. Coach Courtney Crawford has an experienced team on her hands including try-scoring wizard Mia-Rose Walsh is in the centres, Australian Schoolgirls representatives Charlotte Basham (second row) and Evie McGrath (five-eighth) and Ella Koster who debuted for the NRLW Dragons last season. Halfback and Australian Schoolgirls rep Kasey Reh will skipper the side.

The Steelers Harold Matt’s  Coach Jamie Szczerbanik set high standards for his charges in the off-season, laying the ground work for what he hopes will be a return to finals footy for the scarlet and white after finishing one point shy of the play-offs last season. Identical twins Lexin and Rhys O’Dea have made the starting line-up with halfback Lexin to captain the side.

Shaun Timmins took charge of SG Ball in the off-season with the support of former NRL players Mark ‘Piggy’ Riddell and Bryan Norrie on his coaching staff. Timmins has named and experienced line up including Australian Schools rep Hayden Buchanan, Tom Kirk, Kade Reed and Daniel Meaofou who has been named captain.
