In Tarsha Gale Cup action, the Steelers (3rd) take on the first-placed Roosters Indigenous Academy who have racked up big scores in their first three games. Coach Courtney Crawford has named an unchanged line-up for her side’s clash with the tri-colours.

The Steelers Harold Matts will be hoping they can bounce back from last week’s loss to the Eels, taking on a Roosters outfit who were big winners over the Sharks last week. Injured halfback Kade Reid is a big loss but the new halves pairing of Aaymon Fitzgibbon and Lachlan Greatz will be better for last week’s first outing together.

With one win from three starts the Steelers SG Ball side are chasing the two competition points on offer and the chance to leapfrog the Roosters on the ladder. Coach Russell Aitken welcomes back forwards Jett Lui and Dylan Egan (pictured) after a stint with the St George Illawarra Dragons for NSW Cup trials.

A short turnaround for Alicia-Kate Hawke’s HNWP team, their fortunes perhaps resting on how they back-up from Monday night’s bruising encounter with the Magpies who the Roosters beat 22-14 in Round One.

Women’s Premiership coach Alicia-Kate Hawke has had the luxury of calling on club captain Keeley Davis (pictured left) to make her HNWP debut for the Steelers, one of the Sky Blues Origin quartet in Rachael Pearson, Kezie Apps and Emma Tonegato sitting out the opening rounds.
